Why was the iWAM Created?

It was created for the 21st Century. Developed in 2000, it incorporates the latest findings in cognitive science to measure work attitude and motivation. It differs from many “personality” or “behaviour” profiling which presupposes that a person will react the same way in every situation (an idea that was proven incorrect by cognitive psychologists in the 1980s). The iWAM measures a person’s preferences and motivations in the context of work. The iWAM measures 48 patterns, and describes a person’s preferences, and precise explaining the consequences of these differences at work. Therefore a much better tool for the applications involving pre-employment testing, coaching or team-building.

What is this Science of Performance workshop I heard you mention?

You know how sometimes you go to a personal development workshop and think it is too ‘rah-rah’ and no substance? Or worse is after the motivational ‘high’, you realised a few weeks after the event that you do not know how to re-create the results you achieved? Well, in the Science of Performance workshop, which is going to be available to all our certified AMP Consultants, is a workshop that uses the technology of the iWAM to create a personal awareness that is backed by figures and data. Participants will first be walked through their individual iWAM reports with all the key elements explained, and they will work with the trainers and coaches to create personal development plan that is unique to themselves, based on their job description and work objectives.

Is the iWAM that good? How is the iWAM Different from other profiling tools?

Yes it is certainly a powerful profiling tool. The iWAM takes into account the fact that every person is unique.
So, instead of putting people into one of just four or eight or sixteen categories, iWAM distinguishes between and among 48 attitudinal and motivational patterns in the specific context of work. In addition, the iWAM can explain how these patterns both influence and are influenced by emotions.
The result is that iWAM is not only better at predicting work performance, but also reflects the vast array of differences between and among human beings.
The iWAM, for example, provides more possible combinations of results than there are people on Earth!
